Howl’s Castle Ghibli

This is a painting of one of my favourite anime Howl’s Castle of Studio Ghibli. Of course the scene is done to be more vivid in oil painting. Especially to get have colours. This was done over an old impasto acrylic painting, that’s why you get that much texture in it. And I just added to it in July 2025, to add more details and colors. Rework the characters.

Etude Big mist

This painting depicts mountains that have sharp, jagged peaks with rocky surfaces rendered in earthy tones of brown, rust, and ochre. The lower slopes and foreground are covered with patches of white, suggestive of mist swirling through the terrain. The overall mood evokes the raw beauty and isolation of high-altitude wilderness, capturing a moment where solid earth meets transient atmospheric elements. This blend of solid and ephemeral highlights the harmonious balance and constant change found in nature’s grand landscapes.

Aquarelle, watercolour.

Castle ruin

Ruins of a castle stand prominently against a vibrant blue sky, with earthy tones highlighting the weathered stone and crumbling structure. An arched entrance leads into the remnants, contrasting with the lush greenery in the foreground.

I made a version 2 of this. I added more colors and lines to clarify the painting.

Lasts

Watercolor painting of a tranquil, possibly flooded, coastal scene.

The water in the foreground takes up a majority of the composition, painted in various shades of teal and turquoise, with lighter beige and gold tones to represent the effects of light reflecting or refracting on the water.

A single, bare tree stands silhouetted against the water. A person is standing next to the tree. The overall feeling is of quiet stillness and contemplation, with a slight melancholic mood created by the muted colors and solitary figure standing amidst the water.

Italy Paint number

Paint by number, but I ultimately never followed the numbers, and made my own interpretation. I do not recommend this kit anyway, because you have to create colour mixes, and ALL of their mixes do not correspond to the desired colours on the paper. And then pale gray on a canvas, it’s illegible.
